No Cash, No Problem: DIY Shed Build

I needed somewhere to store my new pizza oven over the winter so I built a shed using salvaged materials and things I had laying around for under £150 - what a bargain! It's built strong and should last decades! This is the complete project from start to finish and it would make a great bike shed or general garden storage shed. You can build your own using the plans available below.

Turn Dead Space Into Storage!

My brother challenged me to create some extra storage space in his kitchen and help with renovating it - let's go!

DIY Flooring Goes Horribly Wrong

Flooring shouldn't be this difficult... But in our 1930s bungalow mad house we encounter burst pipes, incredibly wonky subfloors, two unexpected archaeological discoveries, numerous sabotage attempts by our pesky cats and then attempt to level the subfloors and lay some stone plastic composite (SPC) flooring!

Fitting A Dishwasher Against All Odds!

My wife wanted a full sized dishwasher. We didn't have space for one as there was a cabinet and pipe in the way... Time for some KITCHEN BASHING!! Can I get it to fit??

Homebuyer Survey Missed £30k Of Problems

We paid for a professional homebuyer survey thinking it would protect us from hidden issues — but it ended up missing major problems that cost us nearly £30,000. In this video, I break down what the survey got wrong, what we discovered after moving in, and why I think these reports aren’t worth the money. If you’re buying a house in the UK, you need to watch this first.

The WORST Pergola EVER: Let's Replace It

This old pergola with corrugated plastic roof has to be the WORST wooden structure I've ever seen - built 20-25 years ago (we think) at my mother-in-law's house. I decided to demolish it and start again using quality building materials. I used pressure treated 4x4 posts, 6x2 c24 grade timber and 16mm triple wall polycarbonate sheets to complete the transformation!

From Forgotten Wood to Fine Furniture

I had lots of leftover offcuts of salvaged oak floorboards from when I built my garden room floor, and I needed a piece of furniture in the garden room - something with a cabinet, a drawer, and something we can perch drinks on!

Garden Room Interior - Start to Finish

It's time to fit out the interior of the garden room, and ocne again I'm using as many salvaged materials as possible! There is insulation to be installed, walls and ceiling to be boarded, I'll be adding panelling too in order to strengthen the 6 and 9mm MDF that I'm using, then decoration and furnishings plus some nice solid oak window trims to make... There's a lot to do!
