Built In Bathroom Cabinet (Part 1 of 3)

In this video I start on a new project to build a built in, floor to ceiling bathroom cabinet as part of our bathroom renovation in our 1930s bungalow.  There was an old cabinet here with mirror doors and I wanted to give the cabinet more depth for additional storage space and also improve it aesthetically, as it was a real eye sore!  I use construction timber and birch plywood for the face frame.

Making A Balance Board

In this video I make a balance board.. Also known as a wobbel board / wobble board I think?  Using thin plywood and bent lamination.  This is a great toddler / small child gift idea - I wasn't sure I really understood the idea until I saw my neice playing with it and then it all made sense! A great way for little ones to be able to learn balance and coordination skills, and it can be used either way up!  A great toy - kids love it.

A Cheaper Mirka DEROS Random Orbital Sander? Let's Compare!

In this video I'm comparing the Mirka DEROS random orbital sander (which I have owned since February 2018) with a cheaper alternative Hyvst 350w sander from China. This random orbital sander appears to be the same machine as those available under different brand names: Sealey DAS150PS,  Menzer ETS 150, Pela ROS090, Delrem and possibly some others - although please note: I don't know for sure if they are actually all the same machine with the same components.

Making A Bathroom Sink Floating Cabinet (and LOTS of mistakes)

In this video I talk about a recent project where I make a sink unit for our bathroom and lots of mistakes!!!  This one was a bit of a nightmare, things just kept going wrong!

Making A Rocking Chair (Mid Century Modern) #KPWBCC2020

In this video I make a mid century modern style rocking chair; which could also be an armchair by removing the rockers (or rollers!) for the Karl Pope Woodcraft Build A Chair Challenge 2020.  The chair is made from hardwood salvaged from doors and windows taken from our home renovation works.
